LaunchGram Among 33 Lucky Startups In ’500 Startups’ Accelerator

Earlier today, 500 Startups announced its 5th accelerator “batch” – consisting of 33 fortunate startups, including Startup Weekend alumni LaunchGram.  The program kicked off on October 4, 2012.

LaunchGram originated at Startup Weekend Columbus in October 2011.  Shortly after, they were accepted into the 10xelerator venture accelerator program in January of this year.  The team has had a live beta running since April and now looks to jumpstart further progress with their participation in the 500 Startups accelerator.

More than half of this batch of entrepreneurs is from outside of the Silicon Valley, with 19 companies from outside of the U.S. Demo days will take be taking place in February 2012 in Mountain View, San Francisco, and NYC. Read more here about the debut of the 5th batch to go through 500 Startups.
